TO REPORT AN ABSENCE AT NEW BERLIN WEST PLEASE CALL THE ATTENDANCE HOTLINE: 262-789-6410

If your student is absent the entire day, will arrive late to school or needs a permit to leave the building early, please call the attendance hotline 262-789-6410 by 9:00 a.m.

Please leave the following information when you call:

• Your full name & relationship to the child
• Your child's full name and grade
• Reason for absence
• If you are taking your child out for an appointment, be sure to state the time you are picking him/her up and if he/she will be returning to school

Important Reminders from the Attendance Desk

Parents must notify the school of absences within 24 hours or the absence will be unexcused.

Attendance Matters! Attendance influences eligibility for Cum Laude, Open Campus (11th & 12th grade only), & Athletics.

Attendance will NOT be changed at the end of the school year for any reason, including cum laude or other end-of-year recognitions. Parents/guardians must request status changes (unexcused to excused, for example) immediately.

Parents/guardians should regularly check their child(ren)’s attendance records in Infinite Campus to monitor necessary status changes

How Do I Check My Child's Attendance?

To check your child's attendance record:

• Login to your Infinite Campus parent portal
• To view attendance by course, click on the "Attendance" tab on the left-hand side.
  • If you have more than one student in the district, please click on the drop down in the upper right corner and choose a student.
  • Select the term you would like to view. Your child's courses will be listed in a row with the total number of absences and tardies for each course. For more detailed information on individual absences, click on the course. Each absence/tardy will be listed individually, with the most recent date at the top.
• To view attendance by date, click on the "Calendar" tab on the left-hand side.
  • If you have more than one student in the district, please click on the drop down in the upper right corner and choose a student.
  • Select Attendance at the top.
  • Any school day with attendance marks recorded will have a black dot appear under the calendar date.
  • Click on the date you would like to view. The attendance for this date will appear on the right-hand side.

If you have not previously activated your parent portal, please stop into the front office with a photo ID during the hours of 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
