WHY IS A POLICE OFFICER IN OUR SCHOOLS?
Police School Liaison and School Resource Officers are in our schools to answer questions on law enforcement and to assist students, parents and teachers with problems or situations that may come up. Each officer has an open door policy and welcomes contact with each and every student.
The word "liaison" means working together - students, parents, teachers, and police - in a united effort to help students who might get into difficulties. Getting to know one another is the greatest way in the world to prevent problems before they develop.
The Liaison program at New Berlin Eisenhower has one goal: to promote the education of students throughout the school day while assisting to create a safe and positive educational environment for all students within the school setting. To complete this task, the liaison office works to communicate with students, parents, staff and other stakeholders within and outside of the school community to remain informed while promoting positive activities for students both within the school setting and through other community agencies.
