When will I see my updated schedule? Final schedules will be available in Infinite Campus in mid-August. You will receive an email from the school when they are available.
What if the criteria for a schedule change doesn’t apply to me? If the criteria for a schedule change that are listed do not apply to you, you would not be approved for a schedule change. Our school district plans for staffing and the number of classes based on student course sign-up through our Academic and Career Planning program. We have encouraged students throughout the process to discuss their schedule with their parents, ask questions needed to make appropriate decisions about their schedule and to explore courses, focus and levels prior to signing up in order to make wise selections.
Why are those the only reasons for a schedule change? Our goal is to provide experiences that support our learners within their Academic and Career Plan. We have worked with students throughout the year to use this plan in choosing their coursework and pathway for the upcoming year. Changes at this point are made on a need basis according with our School District Vision of our Graduate and thereby outlined in the criteria identified for consideration of a change.
How can there be two classes in one hour? 7th and 8th grade students have their physical education class opposite another class. These classes run on A/B day schedules. The first day of school is an A day, the second is a B day. When you receive your final schedule, your phy ed class will have a designation A or B in the room number.
What is Flex? This is a time for you to meet with teachers if you have questions or need extra help, you can work in small groups on a project, work on homework, or visit with friends. Middle school students go to lunch first, and then have flex. High school students have their flex first, and then go to lunch. Middle school students will have an assigned location for their flex time to begin the year.
Teacher names and room locations are not included in this schedule. These will be available when the final schedule is communicated in August.
If my students schedule is changed over the summer - If there are changes in your student’s schedule from this point forward, you will be contacted by a school staff member to inform you of the change and rationale for the change.
Will I have a study hall? NBW study halls are loaded into the schedule. Eisenhower’s study halls are not loaded into the schedule yet. These will be placed in your final schedule.
How long will it take to hear back about my requested schedule change? You will receive a response to your message within 2 workdays of your submission. If you do not receive a response, please call the NBW Student Services office at 262-789-6424, or Eisenhower at 262-789-6358, to be connected to a staff member for assistance.
How do I know who my teachers will be? Teachers will be listed on your final schedule along with room numbers and A/B days for middle school students.
What does Core Block 7/Core Block 8 mean? This is simply a placeholder in your schedule, you may disregard this area.
What is Math Support? English Support? Math Support, English Support and ELL support are experiences for students who require additional learning in these areas based on their assessments taken and learning levels within these specific content areas. These students are identified by the school district and parents should be notified if their student is placed in one of these experiences. If, for some reason, you are unaware of this placement, please contact your student’s counselor and they can direct you to the appropriate persons to further explain this placement for your child.
How can I print my schedule? Please take a screenshot or print your screen if you want to have access to this information after May 30.
How do I know if I qualify for Open Campus? Open campus will be added to schedules over the summer. Those students that qualify (based on 4th quarter of this year) will see this on their final schedule in August.
